Ty-Layshia West crushes her own school record with a throw of 42’10” finishing 2nd at the South Carolina Coach’s Classic.

IMG_2768Ty-Layshia West finished 2nd out of the top 92 female high school throwers in South Carolina.  Her throw of 42’10” places her #2 in the nation for 10th graders.  Her teammate Nyfashia Merritt finished 8th with a throw of 35’8″.  Shandora Cheeseboro finished 3rd in the Long Jump 8th in the Triple Jump and 13th in the 100 hurdles.  Avonlea Smith finished 25th in the Discus and Christina Oswald finished 34th in the Discus.  Justin Castro placed 87th in the 800 meters.  Tyjaun Abney placed 30th in the 110 hurdles and 31st in the 400 hurdles.  Danquarius Jennings finished 30th in the shot put and 23rd in the discus.  Wells Hallman finished 18th in the discus and 54th in the shot put.  The Panther track team will be back in action this Wednesday at home.
