Batesburg-Leesville Panthers Varsity scored seven runs in the fourth on its way to an 8-2 victory over Calhoun County on Tuesday. Batesburg-Leesville Panthers Varsity scored on a error, a fielder’s choice by Hunter Bedenbaugh, a error, a double by Cameron Peterson, a triple by Nasir Clark, and a triple by Cody Salters.
Batesburg-Leesville Panthers Varsity took the lead for good with seven runs in the fourth inning. Clark earned the win for Batesburg-Leesville Panthers Varsity. He threw six innings, allowing two runs, four hits, and striking out three. Beardeb took the loss for Calhoun County. He pitched four innings, allowing seven runs, seven hits, and striking out three.
Batesburg-Leesville Panthers Varsity had eight hits in the game. Salters and Parker Eargle each collected multiple hits for Batesburg-Leesville Panthers Varsity. Eargle and Salters each managed two hits to lead Batesburg-Leesville Panthers Varsity.
