The Batesburg-Leesville Panthers opened Region 5-AA play with a 50-0 win over Allendale-Fairfax at home one homecoming. The Panthers scored seven touchdowns with one from special teams, one from defense and five touchdowns from the offense. The Panthers improved to 3-3 overall and 1-0 in region play.

B-L opened the scoring with a 55-yard punt return from Bishop Cannon late in the first quarter to make it 7-0. The Panthers special teams would add a safety midway through the second quarter when the punter was flagged for intentional grounding as he tried to avoid a safety. The Panthers turned the short field off the free kick into a quick touchdown thanks to a 20 yard run by Jalik Oakman. Keshoun Williams, who started at quarterback for the banged up Cannon, would add an eight yard run before the half to make it 23-0 at the half.

In the third Williams would score on the first offensive play when he raced 55 yards for a touchdown to make it 3-0. Midway through the 3rd quarter Williams threw a quick hitter screen to Cannon who eluded multiple defenders for a 21 yard touchdown reception. Late in the third quarter B-L took over after an interception and added another touchdown on a three yard run by Tay Wilson to make it 44-0. It was that way throughout the fourth quarter with a running clock until Pat Burgess intercepted a pass on the final play of the game and returned it 90 yards for a touchdown to make it 50-0.

Wilson and Williams each finished with 90 yards rushing on eight carries while Williams also passed for 84 yards. Cannon, who played wide receiver, punt returner and safety. He scored two touchdowns on three touches. Jaewon Williams had two interceptions on defense for the Panthers.
