Batesburg-Leesville Panthers Varsity defeated Abbeville 3-2 on Tuesday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at two with Batesburg-Leesville Panthers Varsity batting in the bottom of the sixth when Caroline Bedenbaugh singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Jaylah Barr struck out three, while R Steifle sat down five.
